Basketball Season Highlights

To begin with, the high school teams, all the U16 and U20 Basketball Teams have played quite splendidly in this following season. It is found by the coaches of the teams that this year the teams played some of their best games ever..

 

 

The U16 Boys Basketball Team has clashed against other teams with their defense and shooting skills and finally has reached to the semi finals. The current scoreboard of the U16 Basketball team out of 6 games is 5 wins and 1 loss. Next week, the boys have a match on 9th February and if they win this match then they would be able to reach the 1st position in the regular season. Moreover, throughout the past games, the boys have dedicated themselves to basketball and is trying their best to practise as well as possible in order to win the next game and reach the 1st position. Furthermore, the coaches, Mr. Aitkenhead and Mr. Matte are quite sure that the team would play dedicatedly and win their next game and come to the 1st position.

 

 

The U16 Girls Basketball Team has tried their best and worked really really hard with their defense and shooting skills to clash over the other teams. As a result, they have finally reached to the playoffs with 3rd position out of all schools. Moreover, next week, they are going to have a match against the Discovery College on February 9th.The aim of the girls is to win this game in order to qualify for the semi finals. The girls are practising and working really hard to win their next game so that they could qualify in the semi finals.

 

 

The U20 Girls Basketball Team has tried their best to win over the other teams with their team work and their shooting skills. Moreover, their work was paid and finally they have reached to 2nd position of all the schools in the regular seasons. Furthermore, next week, they are going to have their playoffs, if they win this game then they would be able to play in the finale, however, if they don't then they would play for the position of 3rd of 4th. The U20 Girls are working really really hard to practise well to win the game next week. Additionally, it is also known that this season is one of the best seasons in the past few years as this is the first time that the girls are able to qualify in the playoffs.

 

 

Tennis Team Interview

Congratulations to the DSC Tennis Team who has won a Bronze medal in the recent ISSFHK league! True dedication and hard work was shown by every member of the team, who played to their best under the sun of Wednesday, February 11th. They scored greatly in the playoffs landing them in the lines to win a medal. The tennis team fought against schools such as GSIS valiantly, winning singles and losing only one of two doubles. Tough competitors, who are known to have much more privileges than the DSC tennis team, faced the might of DSC. Although the opponents had enormous amounts of good players, DSC played through an extremely tough day and achieved the gold medal. An honorary mention goes out to Ken Lee, facing the toughest competition in semi-finals, losing only one game. His dedication rallied the team further and resulted in the whole team doing a great job and achieving a Bronze medal as well.

 

Although some would say that the Tennis team received Bronze medal last year as well, they fail to see one great distinction that set apart the team of the past and the present. Over the course of that year, the tennis team lost a segment of their exemplary players, thus reducing their likelihood of winning as much as they actually did. But, through great amounts of teamwork, the great players of the team, the Tennis Team won a Bronze medal in the ISSFHK league.
